AstraZeneca +Ranbaxy-BUY



AstraZeneca, the FTSE-100 pharmaceuticals firm, has won approval to sell its drug Nexium in Japan.

The drug helps in the treatment of acid related conditions, including  peptic ulcer disease.
Daiichi Sankyo will be responsible for its distribution and its approval follows 8 "in-country" clinical studies.
Tony Zook, Executive Vice President said, "the availability of Nexium in Japan provides patients with a world-leading treatment for acid-related conditions. We are pleased to be able to add Nexium to our portfolio of medicines in Japan, our second largest market."
